Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Dallas, TX
Job Description
A 13-week+ travel opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with strong clinical expertise to support a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This role focuses on providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting, ideally with experience in decentralized ICU environments.
Location: Kerrville, TX
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM
- Coverage every 4th weekend
- Potential shift to 2nd shift (11:45 AM – 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) may occur, requiring schedule flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and dispense medications accurately according to hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes, especially in critical care settings
- Perform clinical assessments and monitor patient responses to therapy
- Utilize hospital IT systems such as Meditech, MedKeeper for IV preparations, and Omnicell for medication dispensing
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Texas pharmacist license
- Strong clinical pharmacy experience, preferably with decentralized ICU exposure
- Proven ability to work effectively in a hospital setting
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and shift patterns
- Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is a plus
