Classroom Aide | Levittown, Pennsylvania

Make a difference for high school students with intensive behavioral needs as a contract paraprofessional. This is an opportunity to work hands-on in a supportive, highly structured environment with a team committed to helping every learner succeed. The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027 (dates tentative), with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM. The first week includes a required full-time orientation. All state-mandated clearances must be complete before August 13.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school special education classroom (PreK–12) supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
• Must reside within 35 minutes of the worksite and be available for the full schedule
• Ready to attend a mandatory orientation week; no exceptions
• Must meet at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification before starting (see details below), or be willing to obtain credential within 60 days of starting
• Comfortable with hands-on support, including toileting, feeding, transfers, and assisting students with moderate to severe needs in a behavioral setting
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and ability to work with students exhibiting aggressive, self-injurious behaviors, and intensive safety needs
• Own reliable transportation

Role responsibilities:

• Provide direct, hands-on support to high school students with severe needs, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
• Implement behavioral intervention plans and safety procedures
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Maintain accurate daily records and support data collection
• Adapt to evolving assignments as directed by program needs
