Multiple contract openings are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year, offering a chance to shape young lives in a supportive, collaborative school setting. Current openings include:
- Three Mild/Moderate teachers (serving grades 2-12, K-8, 7-8)
- One Mild/Moderate Resource Specialist (grades K-6)
- One Mild/Moderate Special Day Class teacher (grades 2-5)
- One Emotional Disturbance specialist (grades 6-8)
The roles are onsite, full-time (40 hours/week), and each position plays a critical role in delivering targeted interventions and fostering student growth.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential applicable to California requirements
- Experience working with students in Mild/Moderate or Emotional Disturbance environments is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt instruction and provide accommodations tailored to students’ unique IEP goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel supported and challenged
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction adapted to student abilities and needs
- Employ positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development
- Maintain timely records and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
