An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher near Saint Paul, MN! This full-time role is ideal for passionate educators looking to make a significant difference in the lives of elementary students. You’ll serve as a resource room teacher for up to 22 students across multiple grade levels for the full academic year, working onsite alongside a dedicated team.
As part of this position, you will provide direct special education instruction tailored to individual learning plans, support students’ academic and social growth, and collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Your expertise will contribute to a positive, supportive environment that promotes student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license required
- Previous experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education instruction in a resource room setting for up to 22 elementary-aged students
- Adapt lessons and interventions to meet IEP goals and each child’s needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support academic, social, and behavioral progress
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and professional development
