Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Maryland district near Silver Spring. Work across several vibrant elementary and middle schools, with the option to combine assignments for a full-time schedule throughout the academic year. This role starts August 10th, 2026, and concludes June 9th, 2027, offering in-person engagement and continuity with students and staff.
In this setting, your expertise will make a tangible difference in students’ communication and academic success. Onsite SLPs, as well as Clinical Fellows ready for hands-on experience, are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm and skills to a supportive school environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Maryland SLP license (or eligibility by start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Experience with school-aged populations and IEP implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to supporting diverse student needs in a school-based setting
- Willingness to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours weekly)
- Committed to the full contract duration
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to students per IEP requirements across assigned schools
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress, completing all required reports and paperwork
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decisions
- May serve multiple campuses, with a variety of elementary and middle school placements available
