Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Interpreter. This full-time position, Monday through Friday, serves both Pre-K and elementary students. The role begins August 19 and offers the chance to make a real difference in children’s lives every day.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certification or licensure required as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Interpreter or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
  • Prior experience working with PreK and elementary-aged students in educational settings
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other recognized sign systems
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations for DHH students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, educators, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services for DHH students, facilitating communication in classrooms and school activities
  • Support instructional delivery and classroom participation for PreK and elementary learners
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement effective accommodations
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and adapting strategies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and best practices for serving DHH students
  • Engage sensitively with parents, staff, and students to promote student success
