Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity dedicated to supporting young learners as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Based near the scenic coastal area of Supply, NC, this role gives you the chance to engage in both dynamic evaluation and hands-on therapy with children across PreK and middle school settings.
This position centers around a PreK Evaluation Center, where you’ll spend most of your week—three to four days—conducting play-based assessments with children ages 3 to 5. Your expertise will help identify developmental needs and lay the groundwork for interventions that create lasting impact. The remaining one to two days will be dedicated to providing direct therapy services at PreK sites and a local Middle School, ensuring continuity of care and a holistic approach to student progress.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license eligible in North Carolina
- Successful experience or strong interest in working within school environments
- Passion for early childhood and/or pediatric settings
- Knowledge of play-based assessment tools, especially for ages 3-5
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and families
- Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct developmental evaluations in a PreK Evaluation Center (3-5 year olds)
- Utilize play-based methodologies for assessments
- Deliver direct therapy in PreK centers and a Middle School
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain clear records and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate actively in team meetings and case reviews
