Special Education Teacher in Hopkins, MN

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule throughout the academic year, working in a resource room setting with up to 22 students across multiple grade levels.

As a key member of the special education team, you will provide tailored instruction and intervention in line with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Collaborating with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families will be central to helping students achieve their academic, social, and behavioral objectives.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
• Collaborative mindset with a dedication to student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support services per each student’s IEP
• Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and documentation
• Foster a structured, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Partner with general education teachers and related service staff for integrated programming
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student milestones and ongoing needs
• Support students across multiple grade levels in a flexible, engaging manner
