This part-time position involves direct 1:1 care for a 4-year-old student requiring oxygen support. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with hours every Friday morning from 8:45AM to 11:45AM.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required – include with application)
- Previous school nursing experience required
- Critical care background preferred
- Experience providing one-on-one care to children
- Comfortable with oxygen management and health monitoring for young children
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to patient privacy and ethical practice
- Only RNs will be considered; LPNs are not eligible for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused 1:1 care for a preschool student with medical needs during school hours
- Monitor and manage oxygen therapy and related health concerns
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in student status
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communication with school staff and guardians
- Support the student’s safety, comfort, and inclusion within the school environment
