Staff Pharmacist in Cloudcroft, NM
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy professional is needed to fill a contract position in Cloudcroft, NM, working within a community grocery store pharmacy environment. This role requires a licensed and skilled pharmacist who can ensure accurate medication dispensing, provide patient counseling, and lead pharmacy technician staff efficiently.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Closed weekends and six major holidays at the primary location
- Occasional weekend shifts may be required at a secondary retail location
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing, or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses
- Minimum of one year of experience as a registered pharmacist preferred
- APhA Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery Certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Flexibility to cover shifts, including occasional weekends, at a secondary retail location
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders following protocols
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medication profiles
- Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians, verifying daily activities
- Participate in emergency medical response alongside the pharmacy team
- Conduct medication storage inspections, identifying outdated medications
- Assist in orienting and training new pharmacy team members
- Follow infection control practices throughout all pharmacy operations
