Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist with a passion for pediatric care and a background in inpatient pharmacy services. You will be integral to supporting medication management at a children’s hospital, utilizing your expertise with pharmacy information systems including EPIC and Pyxis.

- Slaton, TX
Assignment Details:
- Contract role with an immediate start
- Six-month duration with potential extension
- Night shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Opportunity to transition to day shift later in the assignment (to cover FMLA through January 13, 2027)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate dispensing and distribution of medications during night shifts
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy for pediatric inpatients
- Manage medication inventory and control using Pyxis systems
- Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation, order verification, and medication reconciliation
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Texas pharmacist license
- Experience with inpatient pharmacy practice strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
- Prior pediatric pharmacy experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently throughout night shift rotations with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
