Staff Pharmacist in Slaton, TX

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist with a passion for pediatric care and a background in inpatient pharmacy services. You will be integral to supporting medication management at a children’s hospital, utilizing your expertise with pharmacy information systems including EPIC and Pyxis.

Location:

• Slaton, TX

Assignment Details:

• Contract role with an immediate start
• Six-month duration with potential extension
• Night shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Opportunity to transition to day shift later in the assignment (to cover FMLA through January 13, 2027)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accurate dispensing and distribution of medications during night shifts
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy for pediatric inpatients
• Manage medication inventory and control using Pyxis systems
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation, order verification, and medication reconciliation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Texas pharmacist license
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy practice strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
• Prior pediatric pharmacy experience is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently throughout night shift rotations with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
