Shape the futures of young learners by providing essential speech and language support to preschool-aged students in a dynamic educational setting near Newark, NJ. This contract opportunity involves working with a dedicated caseload of approximately 35 students individually, with the caseload expanding as early intervention referrals increase. The role focuses on comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services, as well as active participation in IEP meetings to ensure every child receives tailored interventions. An interest or experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is especially desirable.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current SLP licensure and certification (CCC)
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric and/or school-based SLP roles, especially with Pre-K populations
  • Familiarity with healthcare protocols and IEP processes
  • Hands-on experience with augmentative and alternative communication devices highly preferred
  • Strong collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions to preschool-aged children
  • Perform thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, providing input on speech and language goals
  • Consult and collaborate with other professionals, teachers, and parents to support student success
  • Maintain organized documentation and adhere to district and regulatory standards
