Speech-Language Pathologists with CCC credentials and a passion for school-based practice will thrive in this dynamic setting, providing crucial support throughout the upcoming school year.
Multiple openings are available, offering both full-time and flexible term positions:
- One position runs from the start of the school year and continues until an internal hire is made, providing supplemental support at two elementary sites (mid-to-moderate and general education/pre-K populations). You'll support existing SLPs, manage assessments, and address overflow caseloads—never acting as the primary SLP at any site. Your assignment is split between schools, typically with one location per day, ensuring variety and collaboration.
- Two additional openings cover from early August through mid/late September at a middle or high school, supporting a caseload of 40-50 general education students. Hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may vary slightly by site.
Your qualifications and experience:
- Current ASHA CCC certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- California SLP licensure preferred (district may consider experienced, unlicensed SLPs)
- Experience in school settings, serving K-12 or preschool populations
- Strong assessment and caseload management skills
- Effective multitasking across sites and collaborative work ethic
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and assessments to students
- Collaborate with school teams and families
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP goals and timelines
- Assist with caseload management in high-need settings
