What You'll Bring:

• Current LA Math Educator Certificate, authorized for high school grade levels
• Previous experience teaching general education mathematics, with a strong preference for experience at the high school level
• Deep content expertise in Algebra I and a commitment to differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills and an ability to foster an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach within a contract role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Algebra I instruction to high school students
• Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
• Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every learner
• Implement data-driven teaching strategies and regularly assess student progress
• Collaborate with other educators to ensure consistency and high-quality learning experiences
• Participate in professional development and faculty meetings as needed

You’ll work a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) onsite through the school year, cultivating both your teaching practice and your students’ mathematical understanding in a supportive environment.
