Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field required
  • Valid Colorado Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5-21) Endorsement
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage and adapt instruction to diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to work on-site and complete time-sensitive district credentialing requirements promptly

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs for students with affective needs in elementary grades
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment tailored to each child’s emotional and academic growth
  • Collaborate effectively with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to address diverse learning styles and ensure student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state standards
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings

Assignment Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Single school site assignment at Leroy Elementary, Northglenn (North Denver area)
  • Immediate start through October 2nd
