Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational environment in the Minneapolis area by providing essential psychological services to K-12 students for the upcoming academic semester. As a certified School Psychologist, you’ll work on-site focusing on comprehensive student support, contributing your expertise across evaluation, consultation, and direct interventions. This contract covers two consecutive maternity leaves from late August through mid-December.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota School Psychologist certification/licensure.
- Solid experience with developing and implementing IEP goals and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) using Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant state and federal statutes, codes, rules, and regulations in a school setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with staff, families, and administrators.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological evaluations and consultative services to students, ensuring individualized support.
- Take part in creating and carrying out IEPs and PBSPs through data-driven methods, focusing on student growth.
- Conduct and interpret FBAs to guide functional intervention strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to educational teams on best practices and legal requirements.
- Encourage partnership among staff and families to foster student well-being.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and district policies.
