Job Description
Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary students’ growth and success in a dynamic setting. This contract opportunity centers around providing occupational therapy services focused on grades 3-5, housed entirely within an intermediate building. With a balanced caseload of approximately 25 students, your expertise will empower young learners, primarily through consultation and select direct interventions targeting fine motor skills and sensory needs.
Your schedule is designed for flexibility and balance, offering either two full days or additional shorter days to meet your preferences. The assignment begins September 8, 2026, and continues through June 16, 2027, with hours from 8:05 am to 2:45 pm.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and OTR credentials
- Previous experience in school-based settings, specifically with elementary or intermediate grades
- Strong background in fine motor development and sensory integration strategies
- Collaborative spirit and clear communication skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Enthusiasm for consultative approaches with capacity for limited direct intervention
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse student needs and progress monitoring
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative and direct OT services to a diverse group of third to fifth graders
- Work closely with educators and staff to support student access to curriculum and classroom participation
- Develop individualized support strategies, monitor progress, and document outcomes
- Engage in IEP meetings as needed, sharing insights to inform collaborative goals
- Maintain clear, concise reporting and compliance with all local and state requirements
