Step into an impactful role supporting K-4th grade students for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of 68 students, focusing on mild to moderate speech and language needs. You’ll be based near Galveston, IN, working in a designated speech area within the school, and will have effective collaboration with a supportive team that includes another SLPA on site and five additional SLPs across the district.

Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure and certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with K-4th grade students, is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage a blended caseload, including case management or teacher of record responsibilities for 27 students.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially for working alongside colleagues, teachers, and families.
  • Solid understanding of the unique challenges found in mild to moderate speech/language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to a caseload of 68 students.
  • Serve as teacher of record for 27 students, handling IEP development, progress monitoring, and case management.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SLPA, and district SLPs to support student goals and ensure service delivery.
  • Maintain clear, organized documentation and monitor compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Contribute expertise during school hours (7:30am–3:00pm), with a total of 37.5 scheduled hours per week.
