School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Woodville, Texas
Job Description
Make a difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers both full-time (36 hours per week) and part-time (20 hours per week) options for the upcoming school year, serving elementary students across three nearby school sites (each within a quarter mile). You’ll collaborate closely with an SLP to implement therapy plans and help students achieve their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with elementary-aged children
- Ability to adapt to traveling between two close campus sites as needed
- Eagerness to collaborate with speech-language pathologists and other school staff
Responsibilities:
- Support SLP in delivering speech and language therapy services to an elementary caseload
- Implement individualized intervention plans in one-on-one or group settings
- Assist with evaluations, documentation, and tracking of student progress
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment for young learners
- Participate in school-based meetings and professional development as needed
- Coordinate mild travel between two of three closely located campuses during the school day
