Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a part-time Physical Therapist supporting K-12th grade students across four school sites near Whitewater, WI. Beginning September 8th and running through May 28th, you’ll play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their full potential through tailored therapeutic interventions and collaborative teamwork.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist
- Pediatric or school-based PT experience highly preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work effectively across various school environments
- Experience with initial evaluations, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning settings
What the Position Involves:
- Provide specialized physical therapy interventions to a caseload of approximately 14 students, grades K-12
- Conduct initial evaluations and reassessments as needed, developing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student mobility and participation in school activities
- Travel to four different school locations, building rapport with diverse student groups
- Document progress, attend IEP meetings, and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Work 24 hours per week, spread over 3-4 days for balanced support and flexibility
