Step into an engaging role supporting high school students who benefit from assistive technology and require higher levels of support. This contract opportunity, starting August 12 through October 13, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic educational team. You’ll work with a caseload of approximately 30 students with low incidence needs, providing vital speech-language services tailored to empower each learner.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Illinois SLP licensure or eligibility
  • ASHA CCC required, or active CFY seeking completion
  • Experience or genuine interest in school-based settings, ideally with high school-aged youth
  • Comfort collaborating with educators and specialists in assistive technology (AT) and advanced needs
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy, both direct and consultative, to students ages 14–22
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, with a focus on AT integration
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Collect and maintain accurate progress data and documentation
  • Advocate for student needs and collaborate on proactive solutions
  • Engage families and educators as partners in student progress

Schedule and Details:

  • Choose between two shifts: 8:00am–3:30pm or 7:30am–3:00pm, including a lunch break
  • 7.5 guaranteed hours each school day throughout the contract
  • Located conveniently with quick access to Des Plaines and surrounding areas
