Step into an impactful contract role supporting K-12 learners as a Teacher of the Physically Impaired. This on-site position spans from August 24, 2026, through May 28, 2027, for 37.5 hours per week. In this dynamic setting, you’ll focus on providing itinerant support, collaborating closely with students, general educators, and related service providers to foster accessibility and enable student success.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minnesota Special Education teaching license with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement (required)
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in special education, specifically with physical or health disabilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of curriculum adaptation, classroom accessibility, and the integration of assistive technology
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive functional evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong collaboration skills, particularly with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and teachers
  • Excellent organizational and progress-monitoring abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert itinerant support by consulting on and implementing curriculum modifications, accessibility strategies, and assistive tech tools
  • Lead due process management by assessing students, crafting IEPs, and consistently monitoring student progress
  • Act as a collaborative team member, working closely with educators and related service providers to ensure each student’s needs are met
  • Serve K-12 students across multiple settings within an on-site only capacity
