Physical Therapist - School Setting in Bonita Springs, FL
Job Description
Embark on a meaningful assignment as a Physical Therapist supporting students of all ages across multiple school sites in the vibrant Bonita Springs and Fort Myers region. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential physical therapy services onsite throughout the academic year, with a unique itinerant schedule taking you into different school environments and allowing you to make a widespread impact.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Active Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations is preferred
- Comfortable traveling between various school locations within the district
- Must be able to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting and credentialing requirements, including the JLA badge process (transferable from other FL districts if applicable)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to a diverse caseload, from Preschool to Grade 12
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Assess student needs, set goals, and track progress in accordance with IEPs and district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all regulatory and ethical guidelines
- Foster inclusion and maximize student participation in educational settings
