Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication and academic growth in diverse educational settings. This contract opportunity spans both a single 5th-8th grade building with a caseload of 35 and several private school environments serving Preschool through 8th grade. Whether your expertise is in-person or virtual, full-time professionals are desired to ensure consistent, high-quality speech-language services. In-person caseloads average 65-70, while virtual roles average 40-45. Assignments begin August 18 and finish June 7, providing a meaningful commitment through the full academic year.
Preferred candidates will hold SLP-CCC credentials with school-based experience. SLPA candidates may be considered for in-person positions, offering the chance to support therapy services under supervision. While there isn’t a current need for bilingual support, flexibility exists for qualified bilingual candidates, making this an inclusive and adaptable placement.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid and active SLP-CCC or eligibility; consideration for SLPAs (in-person)
- Experience with school-aged populations, grades PreK-8 preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of AAC is a plus, though not required for these roles
- Ability to work independently and manage a manageable caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive therapy environment
