A full-time contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with an OMS certification. This role is ideal for adaptable travel professionals, as it covers 13 schools across the district with a home base at the district’s main office. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Florida certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• OMS (Orientation and Mobility Specialist) certification required
• Experience working in schools preferred, but not mandatory
• Demonstrated background in student testing and assessments
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites
• Strong communication, organization, and consultative skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect instruction and consultative services to students in grades K-12, with a caseload of 15–20 students
• Perform screenings and assessments for visually impaired students
• Travel to 2–3 assigned school sites daily; a total of 13 sites in the district, with home base at the district office
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
• Document services, complete required forms and reports, and follow district procedures
• Participate in district onboarding and adhere to compliance requirements
