Job Description
Bring your passion for supporting students’ communication skills to an exciting contract role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a welcoming elementary school environment. Two opportunities are available: a full-time position (36 hours per week) and a part-time position (20 hours per week). The assignment begins August 17, 2026, with a required orientation day during the week of August 10th, and continues through May 28, 2027.
You’ll work primarily with elementary students across three closely situated campus sites — just a quarter mile apart, with occasional travel between two of these campuses. Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll work side-by-side with an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist, ensuring the best outcomes for students.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license/certification
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to effectively manage an elementary school caseload
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working at multiple campus sites and traveling short distances as needed
- Reliability for contract commitment through end date
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
- Support implementation of IEP goals and document student progress
- Assist with assessments, therapy preparation, and material organization
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators, staff, and families
- Follow school procedures and contribute to a positive campus environment
