Step into a dynamic role supporting K-8 students in a vibrant learning environment. As an in-person school psychology professional, you'll divide your expertise across two locations, managing a caseload of 60 scholars. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact as you collaborate with dedicated teams and champion students' academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Current and active PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement in Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience preferred
- Proven commitment to educational excellence and child-focused values
- Strong consultative skills, particularly with MTSS systems and interventions
- Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance in special education, 504, and MTSS guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services to K-8 students, supporting both academic achievement and social-emotional growth
- Participate fully in multidisciplinary teams (SPED, 504, MTSS), ensuring timely identification, evaluation, and implementation of individualized support plans
- Monitor and document all services, collaboration, and progress with meticulous record-keeping and confidentiality
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and staff, acting as a liaison and sharing relevant information on child development and learning disorders
- Prepare detailed reports, lead or contribute to intervention efforts, and ensure procedural compliance at every level
- Stay current with best practices and evaluation tools, sharing knowledge in professional development settings
- Engage actively in school and network meetings, serving as an expert on child development topics
