Make a significant impact by supporting students with Autism as a dedicated specialist in the beautiful Southern Oregon region. This full-time, contract opportunity centers on providing expert services within a 35-mile radius of Medford, covering communities from Ashland up to Eagle Point and Grants Pass. Work onsite with K-12 students across diverse educational settings, collaborating with teams to deliver specialized assessments and tailored support for learners on the autism spectrum.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s-level Special Education Teacher, Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), or School Psychologist with a TSPC license; Board Certified SLPs are encouraged to apply
- Alternatively, BCBAs with focused autism training, at least 3 years of direct experience with students on the spectrum, and a familiarity with public school special education are highly valued
- Minimum of 3 years working with students on the Autism spectrum, spanning a range of age groups and severities
- Demonstrated experience serving both high-functioning students in general education and students with more significant needs in self-contained environments
- Skilled in administering Autism evaluations and assessments to determine educational impact
- Current and proper Oregon licensure and certification required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Consult with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective support strategies for students with Autism
- Conduct formal assessments, contribute to IEP development, and deliver evidence-based practices for students across the autism continuum
- Provide training and ongoing support to educational teams to enhance Autism understanding and intervention fidelity
- Act as an onsite resource, collaborating to ensure student success within inclusive and specialized classroom settings
