ESL Gen Ed Teacher - Zion, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth as a general education or ESL teacher for the 2024-2027 school years. Multiple positions are available for dedicated educators ready to make a difference in 5th and 6th grade dual classrooms and in K-2 English Second Language instruction. All roles are based onsite, fostering collaboration and direct engagement in a vibrant intermediate school environment.

Open roles include:

• Two positions: 5th Grade Dual Math/Science
• One position: 5th Grade Dual Social Studies/ELA
• One position: 6th Grade Dual Math/Science
• K-2 ESL Teacher with a focus on English Second Language responsibilities for PreK-2nd

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement(s)
• Direct experience in curriculum design, instructional planning, and classroom teaching
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative mindset and adaptability in dynamic, multicultural classrooms

Key role responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic and engaging instruction aligned with grade-level standards
• Design, implement, and differentiate curriculum to meet a variety of learners’ needs
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons for optimal learning outcomes
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect and academic excellence
• Participate in team meetings, planning, and professional development

This full-time, onsite assignment runs from August 17 to May 27, 2027. Please indicate your specialty and specific grade/subject endorsement in your application, as assignment alignment will be based on expertise and licensure.
