Special Education Teacher in Bluffton, SC

One role focuses on elementary/early childhood students, while the other supports high school students with multi-categorical needs. Required Skills & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and compliance processes
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum modifications and behavior strategies
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, administrators, and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support tailored to students’ individual learning needs
• Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring goals and accommodations are met
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Participate in IEP and team meetings as required by the school
