Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with various disabilities
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, respectful, and dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with a range of disabilities, adapting lessons to accommodate individual needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
• Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and other school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality requirements
