This full-time, in-person contract opportunity supports students across multiple grades and locations, offering you the chance to make a significant impact throughout the academic year.
Ideal candidates hold current SLP-CCC credentials and enjoy working across diverse school settings. If you thrive in multicultural environments and have fluency in Spanish, your skills will be highly valued—although Spanish is preferred, it is not required for this role. Your assignments could include PreK through 8th grades, with primary responsibilities at two school sites and the possibility of serving a third.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), with eligibility for Illinois licensure
- School-based SLP experience, preferably in multicultural or urban settings
- Bilingual Spanish abilities are a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in PreK-8th grade
- Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain ongoing documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support students’ language, social, academic, and functional communication needs
- Offer services across multiple sites; flexibility in working with diverse populations is essential
