Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students by providing essential communication access in a school setting. This contract opportunity is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week. Two positions are available, each focused on providing 1:1 sign language interpreting for an elementary student.
Ideal candidates are dedicated professionals fluent in American Sign Language, committed to facilitating clear, accurate communication and supporting student engagement in the classroom. Bringing your expertise to this supportive environment, you will serve as a bridge for communication, helping to ensure every student receives the education they deserve.
Qualifications:
- Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, or RID certification
- Current GaPSC certification required
- Previous experience in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism and adaptability in varied classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent, high-quality 1:1 sign language interpretation for an elementary student throughout the school day
- Support classroom participation and access to instruction for the assigned student
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster an inclusive environment
- Ensure confidentiality and interpret with cultural sensitivity according to ethical standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning
Position Details:

- Each role is based at a different school within the greater Atlanta area
