Job Opportunity: Advanced Practice Provider in Medical Oncology

Our organization, situated in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to enhance our Medical Oncology team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of patients with Hematology and Oncology needs, conducting inpatient consultations, attending to patients in the clinic, and rounding on individuals receiving chemotherapy at our outpatient infusion center.

Work Schedule

The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover additional shifts as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is mandatory. Candidates must be graduates of an Advanced Practitioner program.
• Licensure / Certification:
  • Active registered nurse license in the State of Ohio.
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is required, with a preference for certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • BLS provider certification is essential.
  • ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS certifications may be required for certain departments.
  • Possession of a DEA license for controlled substances or the ability to obtain one as needed.
• Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is required.
• Communication Skills: Strong and effective communication abilities are essential.
