Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract-based opportunity supporting early childhood students through dedicated speech-language services. This full-time, in-person position runs the academic year from August 13, 2026, through May 20, 2027 (dates subject to change), and offers the chance to positively impact children’s communication development. The role focuses on serving a caseload of approximately 50-55 students in a supportive school setting and includes the supervision of an SLPA. While a fully in-person schedule is preferred, there is potential consideration for a hybrid arrangement—provided at least three days on-site for effective SLPA supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology state license
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) required
- Valid educator certification
- Direct experience in a school environment, preferably with early childhood populations
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and support SLPA staff
- Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy for preschool-age students
- Conduct assessments, IEP development, intervention planning, and progress monitoring
- Supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to create individualized strategies for student success
- Maintain accurate and timely records while ensuring compliance with state and district policies
