Pharmacist | Rogersville, Missouri

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist specializing in acute care pharmacy within a busy hospital setting. This role is based in Springfield, MO, working evenings from 2:30 pm to 12:30 am on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, with a strong possibility for extension.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing EPIC to verify and dispense medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and more
• Coordinating workflow within the central pharmacy during evening shifts
• Checking medication products such as IV preparations, creams, and insulin pens for accuracy
• Ensuring crash carts and code carts are restocked correctly
• Overseeing the workflow of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and redirection as needed (no direct supervision)

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates who meet qualifications may be considered
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is preferred

This position involves a 2-3 week training period focusing primarily on product verification, designed to support pharmacists’ capability development. The central pharmacy team operates with five pharmacists and ten technicians during day shifts, and two pharmacists with 5-6 technicians on evenings, providing a collaborative and structured environment.
