Mercy Hospital's 6C Medical Neurology Unit offers a meaningful opportunity for nurses to increase their skills with patients requiring frequent neurological assessments, close monitoring for changes in mental status, and management of complex conditions such as stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders. Many patients need assistance with mobility, fall prevention measures, medication management, swallowing precautions, and multidisciplinary care involving therapy services.
