Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students near Austin, TX! A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide compassionate and effective speech services for approximately 50 students. This role spans from early August to late October, covering a leave period during the busy back-to-school season.

You’ll work weekdays (about 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm) mainly within one elementary school setting. Your expertise will ensure students in both general and specialized life skills programs succeed in their communication goals. Flex your professional skills while collaborating closely with dedicated educators, support staff, and families.

Key qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Texas SLP license and active SLP-CCC credentials
  • Proven experience (clinical or school-based) with K-5 populations
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation, MTSS processes, and goal-setting
  • Able to complete speech-only evaluations and develop individualized PLAAFPS and goals
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities

In this important position, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting student observations and assessments
  • Developing and writing PLAAFPS and therapy goals
  • Delivering direct therapy services, including push-in support for life skills and G3 students
  • Completing speech-only evaluations (due in October)
  • Participating in MTSS meetings and collaborating on student support teams
  • Maintaining thorough records to ensure compliance with district/state requirements
