A full-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work on-site supporting a school near Jacksonville, FL, from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll collaborate with educators and specialists to deliver targeted support for a traditional caseload, making a lasting difference for children in your care.
Qualifications:
- Active FL DOH SLPA License required
- Minimum 2 years of SLPA experience, including at least 6 months of school-based experience
- Strong commitment to fostering communication skills in a school environment
- Up-to-date or transferable FL school district fingerprint clearance (via AHCA Clearinghouse preferred; JLA badge required, which may take up to 10 business days for issuance)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language support services to students as outlined in their education plans
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain clear documentation of student progress and session notes
- Adapt therapeutic interventions and activities to meet diverse student needs
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment for students to thrive
