Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) | Spotsylvania, Virginia

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a certified Registered Behavior Technician. Three openings are available for skilled professionals to provide focused, compassionate assistance to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional disabilities, and developmental delays. You'll implement individually designed Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, contributing to meaningful change for students in both 1:1 and small-group settings.

Key Duties:

• Carry out behavior and social skill-acquisition protocols crafted by the BCBA, fostering academic and emotional growth for each assigned student.
• Record detailed, real-time data on student behaviors and progress using the district’s approved electronic tracking systems.
• Respond to and de-escalate challenging behaviors, applying crisis prevention and intervention techniques per established guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to prepare classroom environments and support smooth student transitions throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential in good standing with BACB.
• Successful completion of a fingerprint-based criminal background check and clearance through the Virginia Department of Social Services child abuse registry.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and physically assist students during daily activities as needed.
• Preferred: At least one year of hands-on RBT experience in a public school or pediatric care environment.
