Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time school psychologist position is available to provide essential psychological services for students across a dynamic school district in Georgia. The role focuses on supporting diverse student populations by assessing, evaluating, and addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs through telehealth and potentially onsite services.
Location: Columbus, GA
Contract Duration: August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) – part-time candidates will not be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and support services through telehealth platforms and/or in-person as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily logs documenting all psychological services provided.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on student progress and placement.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations governing psychological services in schools.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid GAPSC Educator Certification in School Psychology required.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations across grade levels is preferred.
- Strong skills in telehealth delivery and documentation practices are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize duties in a fast-paced educational environment.
