Job Description
Step into a rewarding part-time position supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners in grades K-4, working with a manageable caseload of 20-24 students each week. With a flexible schedule totaling 18 hours per week, you’ll be able to balance professional growth and personal commitments while fostering communication skills in children at a crucial stage of development.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Holds or eligible for SLP licensure and certification (CCC or CFY considered)
- Experience in pediatric settings or schools preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and staff
- Ability to provide evidence-based interventions and monitor student progress
- Passion for empowering children through speech and language
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to students in K-4th grades
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ IEP goals and individualized needs
- Maintain clear records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and families, offering strategies and resources for communication support
- Adapt therapy approaches to match diverse student backgrounds and learning styles
