Your expertise will be valued as you split your time between Vernon Hills and Lake Villa, working closely with educators, families, and students from early childhood through 8th grade.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid licensure and credentialing as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and ECAT evaluations
- Knowledgeable in the developmental and educational needs of students from early childhood through middle school
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities for participation in multidisciplinary meetings
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and diverse school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete ECAT evaluations and participate actively in related meetings for approximately half your weekly schedule
- In Lake Villa, serve as a traditional school psychologist supporting a diverse caseload with assessments, consultations, and intervention planning
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school teams to develop strategies that enhance student success and well-being
- Provide expertise on learning, behavior, and mental health issues impacting students from EC to 8th grade
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP processes as needed
Position Details:
- Full school year contract position
- Work in both Vernon Hills and Lake Villa locations
- Shift: 8:00am – 3:30pm, enjoying a consistent 7.5-hour workday including lunch
- Caseload spans Early Childhood through 8th grade, offering a varied and engaging professional experience
