Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credentials
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) is required; candidates without a PEL cannot be interviewed
- Current certification in school psychology
- Previous school-based experience is preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning and behavioral issues
- Provide direct and indirect supports to students, helping to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in eligibility meetings, team conferences, and interventions
- Deliver crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold all ethical and legal standards of practice
