Job Description
A part-time opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with a focus on prescription verification and exceptional communication with patients and healthcare providers. This role is ideal for a professional with retail or mail order pharmacy experience who values a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescription orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medications, providing clear and knowledgeable responses.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations while serving as PIC.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient medication safety and adherence.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacist license in one or more of the following states: Texas, Alabama, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, or Oklahoma.
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a pharmacist in a retail or mail order environment.
- Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Schedule:
- Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
