Pharmacist - Garland, Texas

A part-time opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with a focus on prescription verification and exceptional communication with patients and healthcare providers. This role is ideal for a professional with retail or mail order pharmacy experience who values a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medications, providing clear and knowledgeable responses.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations while serving as PIC.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient medication safety and adherence.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in one or more of the following states: Texas, Alabama, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, or Oklahoma.
• A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a pharmacist in a retail or mail order environment.
• Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, with patients and healthcare providers.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Schedule:

• Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
