Desired Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Georgia LPN license
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric environment
- Confidence with tracheostomy care and feeding tubes
- Compassionate approach with students using wheelchairs and requiring mobility support
- Willingness to ride the bus as needed, assisting with student medical needs during transportation
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on nursing care for students with complex medical needs, including trach and G-tube support
- Safeguard student health and well-being throughout the school day and during bus transportation
- Maintain detailed health records and documentation
- Collaborate with lead nurse and school staff to ensure seamless care for students
- Act as a vital resource for student health education and emergency response
- Provide support during times when a fellow nurse is absent, stepping up to ensure uninterrupted care
