Take your speech-language pathology expertise to a collaborative school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year! This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate SLPs interested in part-time, flexible options—perfect if you want to make a difference in the lives of students while balancing your other commitments.

You'll support 1-2 classrooms in the Oroville/Paradise area and provide in-person services two days per week. There's also an opportunity to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), making this a great fit for clinicians who enjoy mentorship. The district welcomes both local and travel professionals, and virtual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure (CA) or the ability to obtain before start
  • Previous experience in a school setting (preferred)
  • Comfortable supervising SLPAs or interest in learning
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver services in person at Oroville/Paradise 2 days weekly, or virtually as required

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide direct therapy services and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Supervise and support SLPA in daily activities, promoting professional growth
