This position starts August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, offering a full-time contract in a dynamic educational environment. You'll work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, with a dedicated 30-minute lunch break each day. The number of schools and specific caseload details will be shared as assignments are finalized, but you'll focus on guiding high school learners in mathematics using engaging instructional strategies.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Louisiana DOE Certification (required for consideration)
- Experience teaching math at the high school level is preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and deliver creative, inclusive lesson plans
- Comfortable collaborating with colleagues, students, and families
- Must meet time-sensitive credentialing standards, including passing a drug screen and fingerprints for district compliance
Responsibilities:
