Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity making a significant impact as an 8th Grade Math Teacher for a contract assignment spanning August 17 through May 27, 2027. Help guide students through pivotal educational milestones in a vibrant middle school setting near Gurnee, IL. Two positions are available: one focused on Math and another ideal for a Dual Language Math educator. Both positions are full-time and require onsite engagement—this assignment does not allow for virtual participation.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate Math endorsement(s).
- Background in curriculum design, planning, and instruction for middle-level students.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
- For the dual language position, proficiency in a second language and experience in dual language instruction is required.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging 8th Grade Math instruction aligned with district and state standards.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans and assessments tailored to diverse learners.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching teams, support staff, and administration to enrich the educational experience.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school activities.
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and keep open lines of communication with families and educational partners.
