Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near Black Eagle, MT for the 2026-2027 school year. As a skilled School Psychologist, you will help students thrive by providing essential mental health, assessment, and collaborative services. This full-time position spans from August 18, 2026, through May 28, 2027, working closely with diverse students as well as dedicated staff and families.
You will play a critical role addressing academic and behavioral concerns, contributing to multidisciplinary teams, and advocating for student success within a dynamic learning environment. From testing and evaluations to collaborating on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), your expertise will guide impactful educational decisions.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Montana School Psychologist Certification
- Previous experience with K-12 caseloads preferred
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting assessments
- Strong skills in report writing, progress monitoring, and presenting findings
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Expert knowledge of IEP processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to inform academic and behavioral interventions
- Contribute to and participate in eligibility meetings including IEP teams
- Provide consultation services to educators, staff, and families
- Prepare detailed reports highlighting student strengths and areas of need
- Support the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students
- Develop and monitor intervention plans and progress
